Description
Valsir ARIOSA DOT is a dual flow wall-mounted heat recovery ventilation unit for single room applications in residential buildings, small offices and professional studios. It is a plug and play solution that does not require a distribution duct system, but only two wall openings and an electrical connection. This heat recovery unit is ideal for renovations or spaces where a central HRV system cannot be installed.
The unit delivers up to 100 m³/h of balanced air exchange and is suitable for rooms or small apartments with floor areas of around 70 m². The device has four fan speeds (Night, Minimum, Medium and Maximum) to adapt airflow to occupancy and time of day.
ARIOSA DOT uses a high efficiency sensible counterflow heat exchanger to recover heat from the extracted air and transfer it to the incoming fresh air. Electronic fans with EC technology and multispeed control maintain constant airflow with low electrical consumption and very low acoustic impact, especially in Night mode.
Energy efficiency
The static air-to-air counterflow heat exchanger in the sensible version provides a dry thermal efficiency of up to 88%, significantly reducing the heating energy required to maintain indoor comfort in winter. ARIOSA DOT is classified as SEC class A in temperate climates, A+ in cold climates and E in warm climates, with a specific fan power of approximately 0.36 W per m³/h. These values place the unit among the high efficiency residential ventilation systems according to EU Regulation 1254/2014, while keeping running costs low over the lifetime of the building.
Air filtration and comfort
ARIOSA DOT is equipped with two high performance filters as standard: an ISO Coarse >65% filter on the extract air and an ISO ePM1 >50% (ex F7) filter on the supply air. Together they remove dust, pollen, smog, fine particulates (PM10, PM2.5 and PM1), bacteria and a large share of airborne viruses, improving hygiene and helping to prevent allergy symptoms in occupied rooms. The filters are accessible through independent cap type doors for simple inspection and replacement by the user or installer.
By continuously removing stale, humid air and supplying filtered outdoor air, the system helps to keep relative humidity and pollutant levels under control, reducing the risk of condensation, mould growth and indoor air quality problems that can affect both occupants and building fabric.
Controls and connectivity
The unit includes an electronic control system with four onboard temperature and humidity probes for demand based ventilation, free cooling and free heating management. A remote LCD control panel allows full configuration of fan speeds, operating modes (manual or automatic), hourly or daily programmes and comfort setpoints for temperature and humidity. Built in WiFi connectivity enables remote control via the Valsir HRV App for smartphones and tablets, while a Modbus interface offers integration with home automation or BMS systems.
Installation and applications
ARIOSA DOT is designed for indoor wall-mounting along a perimeter wall and can even be installed beneath a window thanks to its slim profile. Installation requires two 125 mm wall openings for the intake and exhaust air ducts and a condensate drain either to the outside or to a nearby drainage point. A single unit is typically sufficient for a one or two room apartment or a small office. In larger dwellings multiple units can be installed in different rooms to guarantee adequate air exchange throughout the building.
